Covid-19 Opening Update
We are looking forward to welcoming guests back to Silver Glades soon. In light of the latest Government and Isle of Wight information regarding COVID-19 restrictions, we are in the process of preparing to open Silver Glades on 11 July. We are currently taking bookings from that date through to 19 September.
Island businesses and ferry companies are also working towards being able to safely welcome visitors in July with social distancing in place. There will obviously still be limitations to the operation of businesses and attractions on the Island but the intention is to open as much as possible, within guidelines.
To ensure Silver Glades can comply with safety and hygiene advice for guests and staff, we will only operate at 50% capacity, with caravans being left empty for 3 days before cleaning and disinfecting, ready for new guests the next week.
We are sorry but unfortunately the reduction in capacity this year has resulted in some regular guests being disappointed. There is also a high demand for whatever accommodation we have available so early booking, particularly for September, is advised.
For guests’ safety, additional hygiene measures will be in place around the Park, and the use of internal spaces – like the Reception and Laundry-Room will be limited to enable social distancing. The current advice is that sports activities in the garden which are allowed generally will be available but communal spaces, like the children’s summerhouse and playground, may still be restricted.
We are looking forward to seeing you at Silver Glades and can assure you that any new bookings made will have the guarantee of a full refund should Government plans change and your holiday not be possible.
We are trying to keep up with all communications but in the current situation it may take us a little longer to respond than normal.
